Sue Kenny: Sauk City Prairie long term planning (Sue would like assistance with social media to promote the Sauk City Prairie and long-term planning. Also looking for information on prairie maintenance/finances) Connect with Mike Carlson @ Gathering Waters

Oregon Nature Alliance meeting 7.16.25 (Amy and Athena met with Theresa w/ Oregon Nature Alliance and Debbie and Lisa who are chapter liaisons with Nat’l. Oregon wants to become a chapter hub to share resources and insurance. Interested in funds/fundraising. It was discussed that ONA would use same bank but ONA would have separate account and budget, branding, mailing list, etc. Questions still remain regarding financial allocation to ONA. Nat’l creating a policy for chapter “hubs” at the moment and will keep WO-Mad apprised.

Upcoming  Events:

Wildflower Field Days Plant ID Workshop with Micah and Kevin (went very well!, 17 people total (helped having a smaller group), discussed basic botany skills and how to use a key, could potentially charge in the future)Native Plant Learning Hub collaboration with Dane County Land & Water Resources  - 7.13.25, Excellent turnout!  Next Hub in September.Plant Sale with SOS 8.18-9.5 with pick up date on 9.12 , Kate working on promo flyer (sale to open on 8/01)Butterfly Action Day at Olbrich 8.1.25 Sue Scott and Amy to table (10am-2pm)Jumping worms talk? (TBD)August Ice Cream Social (Aldo Leopold Nature Center, 6:30pm-8:30pm. Board meeting to occur at 5:30pm beforehand)
